Baffled by Microsoft's Latest Creative
I am a little confused by the Microsoft ads running in the NCAA basketball games this past weekend...I am sure they are running in other programming as well.
Did I miss something or did Microsoft decide to get into the hardware business, or better yet, are these ads Microsoft's way of being nice to Best Buy and HP and running free advertising for them?
At least when Intel was airing their Intel Inside ads they made a big deal about their processors, Microsoft doesn't even mention their Vista operating system in the ad, just the "Windows Life Without Walls" tag and the fact that you can buy a laptop with a 17" screen for under a thousand bucks. Interesting counter to the MacBook Pro ads...

Twitter War for the Sweet Sixteen
Federated Media today released a new neat little application, marchtweetness, for fans of the teams playing in the twelve games this weekend. The app lets fans participate in an ongoing dialogue or a little smack talk before, during and after the games. The application is sponsored by AT&T and just like the Exectweets app sponsored by Microsoft that was announced earlier this week, I am assuming Twitter is receiving a share in the revenues?
